Configuring Amazon SES to send Email with Magento 2
How to configure Amazon SES SMTP
- Step 1: Install Magento 2 SMTP extension.
- Step 2: Create and setup your Amazon SES account.
- Step 3: Configure MagePal SMTP extension for Magento 2.
Step 1: Install Magento 2 Custom SMTP Extension

STEP 2. Create and setup your Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) account
To send email from Magento using the Amazon SES SMTP server, you will need to following the instruction below:
- Create or log into your AWS account. For more information, see Signing up for AWS.
- Create or setup your SES account. For a list of Amazon SES SMTP endpoints, see Connecting to the Amazon SES SMTP.
- Download and copy your username and password.
- Log into your Magento Store and add the configuration above
Please note: Your SMTP user name and password are not your AWS access keys or credentials you use need to generate this from your Amazon SES console. For information on how to generate your SMTP username and password, see Obtaining Your Amazon SES SMTP Credentials.
